Brain drain in Singapore: Survey
Over 6 in 10 Singaporeans want to leave singapore for job opportunities
Latest research held by Randstad shows that brain drain might be expected to affect singapore.
The result showed that 6 in 10 employees in Singapore are willing to seek jobs overseas while the world average is 50%.
It is also significant that the younger working population from 18 to 34 are more keen on emigrateing overseas for a job, which can lead to less working population in Singapore in the long run.
Commenting on the results, managing director for Randstad Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia, Michael Smith, noted that he is fully aware that employees are willing to consider options outside of their countries.
"Organisations should be more vigilant with their top talents, even if they have the best offerings compared to their competitors, overseas opportunities may still be stronger, potentially drawing their workforce away."
